Members and friends of Sussex Polo Club met at the elegant Gravetye Manor to celebrate the start of the 2011 polo season. Guests were greeted in the formal sitting room, with stunning fireplace and decorative wood panelling, before admiring the tranquil formal gardens in the afternoon sunshine with chilled champagne and canap�s. Members were keen to see the improvements from the recent sumptuous refurbishment that Gravetye had undergone and were not disappointed. There were a lot of excited conversations about the forthcoming polo season and in particular the new WestOne Cars trophy, the finals of which will be held on Sunday 5 June. Readers of Sussex Life are welcome to come along and watch the polo and soak up the atmosphere (free entry) with their families.
