The Bluebell Vineyard Estates has been awarded a coveted gold medal by the United Kingdom Vineyard Association, in addition to a silver and three bronze, making them the biggest medal winner in the English Sparkling Wine competition.

The Furner’s Green based winery received Gold for their newly released Classic Cuvée 2010, a blend of the three classic champagne grapes, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay - all grown on the estate’s own vines.

Kevin Sutherland, The Bluebell Vineyard’s winemaker, says: “2010 was a fantastic year for us. With near perfect conditions, the grapes were harvested as late as the end of October. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product, and taking home so many medals really is the cherry on top of a great year so far!

The Bluebell Vineyard Estate was established in 2005, producing English Sparkling Wine by the méthode traditionelle, using the classic champagne grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier - they also make a superb Seyval Blanc!

Since their first vintage in 2007 they have been awarded more than 20 regional, national and international medals and trophies, including awards from the UKVA, Decanter and IWC.
