Wildlife Guardians is a core group of supporters who share a vision for the future of nature conservation in Sussex and support the Trust’s Living Landscape work.In July, a dinner hosted by Guardians Rick Englert and Richard Taylor who live in the heart of the West Weald at Whithurst Park, Kirdford, had an after dinner speaker with a difference. Naturalist Neil Fletcher talked about the ecology and lifestyle of bats and their importance within the West Weald landscape. As darkness fell guests went outside with bat detectors to hear the bats as they flew overhead on the way to their foraging areas. If you are interested in joining the Wildlife Guardians scheme contact Sarah Hince on 01273 497520 sarahhince@sussexwt.org.uk or Alison Ross on 01273 497525 alisonross@sussexwt.org.uk
