And your Instagram photo could win you a picnic there

Tatton Park, pride of Cheshire, has been voted the Uk’s number one National Trust location.

And if you would like to enjoy a wonderful picnic there, take a photo and post it on Instagram for the park’s Spectacular Views’ photography competition.

The National Trust award was given the award following research by Rated People, which collated visitor reviews on Google and Instagram pictures.

Glorious Tatton is an inspiration for gardeners, who have been paying extra attention to their own little pieces of heaven during lockdown. Visitors say they are especially inspired by the Japanese garden, and the walled kitchen gardens, which show the way to growing fruit and vegetables.

In the Rated People review Corfe Castle in Dorset, came in second place after Tatton Park, with Wiltshire’s Stourhead Landscape Garden rated in third place. Another Cheshire National Trust Property – Lyme Park – came in sixth.

Tatton Park head gardener Simon Tetlow says: “It’s wonderful that the photos and reviews shared by our visitors have secured this top spot for us. We’ve always known how beloved our garden is but for it to be rated in this way is great.”
