The President's Luncheon, held on the first day of the Kent County Show, was a magnificent affair of 200 guests and a shining example of Kentish produce.

Sponsored by the Ashcourt Group and hosted by Lord Astor of Hever, guest of honour was General Sir Richard Dannatt, attending in his capacity as President of the Royal Norfolk Show. The presence of Lord Lieutenant of Kent, Allan Willett, and other distinguished military guests highlighted the Society's strong support of our Armed Forces serving abroad and of their families. Other guests included Joe Keeling from the Keeling Corporation in Dublin, who judged at the Cherry and Soft Fruit Show, and Lord Astor of Hever, who presented William McKeever of the Kent County Agricultural Society will The President's Award for his loyal service and commitment to the Society since a boy. A past NFU County Chairman and KCAS Chairman, Willie is currently Show Ambassador for the Society.
