Calypso beats set feet tapping across the centre of Southampton and its landmark Guildhall Square at the VIP launch of the city’s first Caribbean restaurant Turtle Bay. More than 350 guests were enjoying the vibrant opening night of the �750,000 restaurant and were treated to an array of tasty Caribbean dishes including Jerk Pit Ribs, Curry Goat and Plantain Flat Breads and Saltfish Fritters. Top performers included Glastonbury favourites Magic Drum and leading modern day Calypsonian singer Alex D Great who were among the performers bringing the sounds of the Caribbean to the city.
