Guests danced to the music of local band Los Conscious at the opening of east Kent's newest entertainment venue at Westwood Cross in Thanet.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Margate, Cllrs Brian and Maureen Sullivan, the Mayor and Mayoress of Ramsgate, Cllr Kay Dark and Adam Dark, along with the Deputy Mayor of Broadstairs, Cllr Maeve Saunders and the Vice Chair of Thanet District Council, Margaret Sheldrick, were among guests who enjoyed a reception party at the G Casino before stepping out into the continental-style plaza known as The Music Space for the live entertainment.
Tom Price, general manager of Westwood Cross Retail and Leisure Centre, took to the stage to launch the newly finished multi-million pound leisure venue, which includes a 10-screen Vue cinema, Mecca bingo and a range of restaurants.
He said: "We've got great plans for The Music Space, with all kinds of musical and artistic events designed to appeal to our Westwood Cross customers."
