This award-winning festival in Dartmouth will be taking place for three days between August 16 and 18

Following the howling success of the annual Woofstock UK, a unique festival 'by dogs for dogs', this year will be even bigger and better. Voted 'Best Day Out' two years running by Dog Friendly Awards, multi-award-winning Woofstock is celebrating its fifth anniversary by turning the wagtastic one day event into a weekend extravaganza.

Sponsored by Bella and Duke, the event will raise much-needed funds for worthy animal charities; Animals in Distress, Animals in Asia and Pawsome Pensions (retired police dogs).

The festival's new location - a 13-acre site nestled in stunning South Devon countryside - has ample free parking and visitors can enjoy a day out or glamp it up for the weekend with camping and glamping facilities on site.

Founder organisers Heather and Carol Nesbitt-Bayley are delighted to welcome much-loved and popular west country broadcaster Judi Spiers as the show's compére. In her own imitable warm and witty style, she will keep all visitors in the know on what's going on around the show. With lots of things to see and do, including a diverse mix of trade stands, shopping village and plethora of local food and drink suppliers, it promises to be a fun time for all.

Two bars, including an inflatable pub in the VIP arena, will prove popular watering holes, especially the following day when there may be the need for 'a hair of the dog'! Canine customers will also be entertained with many day-time activities including dog shows open to pooches looking to shake their toosh on the catwalk with many categories such as 'Appealing Eyes' and 'Golden Oldie'.

Dogtastic agility and obedience displays, as well as ever-popular Devon & Cornwall Police Dog Training School, take place in designated arenas throughout the weekend. Be part of the action with 'Have a go' activities for you and your hound with quirky competitions such as 'Fastest Garden Digger', 'Distraction Alley', 'Best Pawcasso', and 'Search and Rescue'. After all this exercise hot dogs will be able to keep their cool by heading to the mega splash pool.

And the fun doesn't stop when the sun goes down with live music and an amazing line-up of entertainment on stage in celebration of the festival's fifth Birthday party, kicking off at 6:30pm on Friday night.

Artist Joanna Cooke leads the way singing blended soul, jazz, blues and pop, and you'll be rockin' to the sounds of award-winning 'Revival', the No.1 Abba Tribute band, and 'I love Amp' with Kat Savage. Los Pacaminos featuring Paul Young, will be headlining on Saturday and the audience will be and dazzled by the UK's top drag performer La Voix, and much, much more.
