Almost 400 guests helped to raise at least �14,000 during a Venetian masked ball at York Racecourse, in aid of York Against Cancer and the Brunswick Organic Nursery, Bishopthorpe. Tarnia Hudson, one of the organisers, said there were some fabulous masks and the evening was a great success. ‘Everyone enjoyed themselves and we raised a tremendous amount of money for two very worthy causes,’ she added.Photographs by Kim Hodgson
