The Kent Life Food & Drink Awards finalists, as nominated by our readers, are all local heroes in our opinion – meet the 2020 winners
We are delighted to announce the winners and highly commended in the Kent Life Food & Drink Awards 2020.
And what a difficult decision it was for our judges, who we heartily thank for their diligence. With the impact of the tier system and further restrictions continuing, it is more important than ever that we continue to support our local food and drink producers to keep their vital businesses afloat.
Due to Covid-19 guidelines, we have been unable to celebrate this prestigious event with our usual glittering awards dinner in the company of our finalists, judges and sponsors.
However, this hasn’t stopped us from being able to raise their profile and tell you about the fantastic things they’ve achieved through what has been a very challenging year.
These awards were all about the local food and drink heroes nominated by you, so thank you for telling us about your local champions.
Finally, a huge thank you to all our sponsors; they have ensured that the Kent Life Food & Drink Awards can continue to support local businesses. Congratulations to all our winners and finalists.

Ed Gray, Watts Farm, Aylesford
Ed Gray, Director at Watts Farms in Aylesford, has a background in medicine and spotted early on in 2020 that he’d need to create a new arm of the family business of 70 years - local home delivery.
In the space of just a week, Ed employed a Kent web design company and created an easy-to-use online shop delivering everything needed for the weekly food order.
After just three months, the online shopping service was rated number 1 on Trustpilot for grocers in the UK and had delivered 35,000 orders in the Kent and Sussex area.
