Best Shopping Experience at Fab Frocks, Bournemouth, Dorset

Bournemouth-based boutique, Fab Frocks of Westbourne has scooped a prestigious regional award.

The shop, which specialises in evening, cocktail, prom, bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride outfits was voted ‘Best Shopping Experience’ at the Bournemouth Tourism Awards.

As well as submitting testimonials and evidence to the judging panel, the shop which was launched seven years ago and boasts the only dedicated mother-of-the bride and groom boutique in Dorset, was visited by mystery shoppers.

The judges said: “Attentive, helpful and knowledgeable staff make a shopping trip to Fab Frocks an award-winning experience. Judges were particularly impressed with one-to-one appointments service and the amount of effort given to customer service, backed up by online and in shop incentives.”

The mystery shoppers agreed: “The shop was very clean and tidy and well furnished. There was a clear system to show other sizes available. The staff were very keen to help and genuinely seemed interested rather than trying to push a sale on you. There were nice touches around the store, such as robes in the changing rooms, and a good array of items for sale.”

Directors Tracie Beardsley and Steve Taylor received the award at a glittering ceremony in Bournemouth. Tracie Beardsley said: “This is a real accolade for us. We passionately believe in customer service and four our team to be recognised for all that effort is wonderful. “
