Recreate this versatile look used on our Essex Life fashion shoot with these tips from our hair and make-up experts

Hair tips When wearing a hat for a wedding careful consideration must be given to how the hair will look when the hat is removed. For this look Erica Naysmith swept Louise's hair to one side in the direction in which the hair falls and pinned it in place as if it was a ponytail. The hat should sit elegantly just off centre, tilted towards the way the ponytail has fallen. When the hat is then removed the style still retains that effortless and yet elegant look.

Erica NaysmithBailey's Hair GalleryBeauty tipsFor our model's make-up, Jacqueline Wade created a lasting look using SBC Professional Make-up. A light foundation was applied to even out skin tone and conceal any unwanted blemishes and then a loose translucent powder was brushed over the face to take away shine, along with a hint of terracotta blush for a warm summer look. For the eyes a cream base was used before adding a selection of neutral browns but with a touch of shimmer for an evening look.
