Today marks the departure from the past into the new with the addition of Sixth Form, Reception and Years One and Two (Pre Prep) for Chilton Cantelo School.
With an history as an independent school since 1959, the school now offers ‘all-through’ education for pupils aged 4 to 18. The school has had recent major new investment in the grounds and buildings and now has a new Sixth Form centre, Pre Prep classrooms with outdoor soft play area for Reception, new IT suite, refurbished Science Lab, new tennis courts and several other enhancements made to the premises.
Headmaster, Dr John Price said: ‘I’ve been the Head for the past four years here and I have to say that today has been the most exciting start to any new school year, even though it was quite a challenge addressing the whole school now that we have such a wide age range of pupils. To get to this stage has been the culmination of much hard work by many people over the past couple of years and to see the Sixth Form in their suits and the reception children enjoying their new facilities gives me an enormous sense of pride.’
