For over 360 years Hipperholme Grammar School has been providing quality education. The School was endowed in 1648 and to this day holds steadfast to its traditional values of academic study, hard work and perseverance whilst also preparing our pupils for today’s modern, international world through a challenging and varied curriculum. At both Junior and Senior Schools, we place great importance on academic study and achievement; but that isn’t the whole story. We also teach our students life skills, building the whole person with confidence and providing opportunities to try new activities which widen their experiences through our enrichment programmes.
Children can join our Nursery from the age of 3. Our Junior School is a caring family built on the foundations of warmth, achievement, responsibility and new experiences. We get to know the children in our care very well and cater for their individual needs and talents. Our superb facilities and small class sizes enable us to provide children with an excellent education in preparation for their transition into a senior school, where staff focus on instilling in all our pupils a desire to reach their full potential.
The transition from Year 11 to Sixth Form is carefully managed so that students settle quickly and successfully. We equip our students to be confident, motivated and eager learners. Our Sixth Form is focussed on preparing students for the next stage in their lives, be it to enter higher education or the workplace.
