Students from three Manchester schools took to the red carpet in style as they enjoyed their Class of 2014 Leavers’ Ball celebration at the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate. Around 300 sixth formers attended the glamorous event, organised jointly by Withington Girls’ School, Manchester High School for Girls and the Manchester Grammar School. The latter’s Jazz Band played during the welcome drinks reception before guests sat down to a three-course meal in the ballroom, followed by dancing to the tunes of a guest DJ.
The Leavers’ Ball committee, led by MGS School Captain Michael Li, WGS Head Girl Helen Wheeldon and MHSG Head Girl Yomna Gharib hailed the event a great success saying: ‘Everyone enjoyed the evening, and the event was a fitting conclusion and celebration of our time at school.
‘We are now all very much looking forward to embarking on the next stages of our lives.’
