On Top of the World

Students at the Royal High School, Bath this week are celebrating the school’s first set of IB results. Half the cohort of students achieved point scores of 37 and above with two students, Sarah Mercer and Victoria Price achieving 44 points out of the maximum 45. The average point score achieved was 35 out of 45. IB Co-ordinator Angharad Holloway said “We are absolutely delighted by the achievements of these pioneering students at RHS. Their commitment to the Programme has been outstanding and I am so pleased to see so many of them now heading off to leading universities, such as Cambridge, LSE, and Durham. It has given everybody such confidence to see that our students are capable of achieving the very highest grades when being measured against students from across the globe. “ The Head of RHS, Rebecca Dougall said “these terrific results say a great deal about the hard work and ambition of both staff and students. Inevitably it has been a nerve-wracking wait for our first set of results and it is now very pleasing to reflect on such high levels of achievement. We look forward to continuing our tradition of excellent A level results and to further IB success next year.”
