New scheme aimed at children looking to start at the school in September 2015

The Ryleys Preparatory School has launched an exciting new bursary scheme, offering places at the school for children who would not have otherwise had the opportunity to receive a Ryleys education.

The Governors of the school are currently in the process of reviewing and modernising the way in which The Ryleys delivers its education, in the widest sense, and as part of that process have formed a new bursary scheme, which will sit alongside but separate to the old scheme.

The new scheme, which will be for children who are looking to start at the school in September 2015, will offer financial support in the form of discounted fees. To be eligible, children must be currently within the state sector and the children will need to pass an assessment, which is designed to determine whether they have the ability to benefit from a Ryleys education.

On passing the assessment, the parents will then meet with the Bursar to discuss the level of fee support they will receive through the scheme. This can range anywhere between 20% and 60%.

The Head of The Ryleys School, said: “The charitable status of the school goes back a very long way and it is something of which we are very proud. I am delighted that our school is now able to offer a Ryleys education to children who would otherwise not be able to benefit from private schooling.”

“This is one of a number of significant changes I am pleased to be making, with the support of my Senior Management Team and our Governors, which will continue the long tradition of the school and enhance what we offer to the community.”

The Ryleys School offers small class sizes and a bespoke education designed to maximise the achievement of each and every child, and its success is evidenced by the fact while it is not selective, all pupils go on to achieve places within their chosen schools.

The new bursary scheme is designed to sit alongside the existing bursary scheme, which supports the continuing education of children whose circumstances have changed.

Parents who are interested in the new bursary scheme are encouraged to call the school directly on 01625 583241 or email info@theryleys.com for further information or to book a visit to the school.
