St Pius X Preparatory School and Oak House Nursery offers an outstanding all-round education for children from two to eleven years.

Children join us in Oak House Nursery from the age of two and right from the start we believe that each one should be treated as an individual.
A range of learning activities is offered, including music, French, tennis and ballet and each pupil is allowed to develop his or her full potential in every area of learning in a spacious and fun-filled environment.
Our aim is to make Oak House Nursery accessible to as many children as possible and with this in mind we offer affordable flexible half-day sessions.
Many of our pupils remain with us when they finish their nursery years, moving up into St Pius X Preparatory School, which is based on the same attractive site on Garstang Road.
During their time at St Pius, they are provided with a wide range of opportunities, both as part of the curriculum and in the form of extra-curricular activities such as sport, educational trips and musical instrument tuition.
In addition we also have an excellent record of academic achievement. Children are prepared for entrance exams for a variety of senior independent and grammar schools and we have an enviable success rate in gaining places.
Overall we offer our pupils a varied, well-rounded education that prepares them for the world beyond primary school. We are proud to say that, when they leave St Pius, they are well known not just for their comprehensive academic skills, but also for their good manners and ability to cope at High School.
