Students and Teachers get creative at Chilton Cantelo

Things get creative at Chilton Cantelo as part of Somerset Art Weeks 2012

As part of Somerset Art Weeks 2012 Chilton Cantelo School has taken the unusual and creative step of showing not only its own pupils’ art but their friends, parents, grandparents, teachers and former pupils of the school as well.

The pieces of art are themed into three categories: By the Sea, Everyday Objects, Portraits and Self-Portraits.

Head of Art, Sarah Rice, said: ‘I’m making our contribution to Somerset  Art Weeks a real family affair.  I know that many of our pupils’ parents and friends are keen artists and this is a golden opportunity for them to exhibit their work.  Our school is all about community spirit and this is a great way to demonstrate that.’

The art will be on display in the main house during Somerset Art Weeks every day except Mondays.
