The Croft U11 Rugby success

The Croft U11 Rugby team has been crowned National Champions, after winning the Lexus National Schools’ Rugby Tournament (NSRT) Finals at Epsom College, on Sunday, March 3. After dominating their pool group, winning all 3 matches, The Croft beat St George’s College, Weybridge. This was a very tight affair, with The Croft scoring the solitary try of the match to win 5-0.

Mr Marcus Cook, Headmaster and U11 Coach, says, “It has been my privilege to work with this group of boys since they were in Year 3 and to see them crowned National Champions is a fitting way for them to finish their time at The Croft. They have always been a special team, not because of their ability, but because they listened, wanted to improve and would play for each other. To play in the finals and not concede a try in any match is a truly remarkable achievement, one the boys should be very proud of! They are a credit, not just to themselves, but to their families and The Croft School. Well done, boys!”
