Junior School (3 – 13) Cheltenham College Junior School, complete with its own sports fields, garden allotments and multiple playgrounds nestles in a woodland setting on the Thirlestaine Road, adjacent to College. Kingfishers, its vibrant pre-prep department which has been classed as ‘outstanding’ by both Ofsted and ISI, caters for pupils from age 3 to 7. It has its own cottage and classrooms within the school as we as its very own Forest School for outdoor learning. Boarding on either a full or flexi basis is offered to pupils from age 7 upwards, with the bright, airy dorms and action packed weekends offering a real home from home. The school has just announced the appointment of Jonathan Whybrow as Headmaster from September 2013. Currently the Headmaster of Beachborough School in Northamptonshire, Jonathan brings with him 16 years of Headship experience and a proven track record of leadership in prep school education. College (13 – 18)Cheltenham College, founded in 1841 as one of the first great Victorian schools, has built up a strong reputation for its first class all-round education and modern thinking, combined with a real sense of history and tradition. This year saw 6th Formers achieve a second year of record A Level results, with 81% A* - B across the board and a high success rate for places gained at Russell Group universities. So far, January 2013 has seen the publication of a second book of Independent Learning Projects, all written by students, as well as a Third Form (Year 9) Independent Project on the subject of the senses.

Building work is now well underway on the new Girls’ Boarding House, set to open in September 2013 to accommodate increased demand for girls’ places.

To celebrate the new House, College is offering a limited number of Founders’ Scholarships for entry to College in Year 10 this September. Available for girls currently in Year 9, these awards will be entirely merit based and awarded on the basis of exam, audition or other appropriate assessment.
