Step up to the plateHave your thoughts turned to shedding unwanted pounds? Maybe it’s time to take inspiration from 49-year-old Kay Illingworth, the Glossop lady who has helped more than 160,000 adults and children lose an incredible 6,720,000 million lbs by inventing and patenting The Diet Plate. Kay came up with the idea for herself after putting on more than seven stone over three years. She found that although she dieted she couldn’t shift the weight and discovered the portions she was eating were all wrong. Now the plate, which is segmented so that people eat the right proportion of protein carbs, etc, is even under consideration by the NHS as a tool to help prevent obesity. For more information or to purchase a portion plate, priced around 19.99, visit www.thedietplate.com or call 01457 862446.

Jewellery queen goes back to her roots Cult jewellery designer Chloe Moss has gone back to her roots, returning to the region where her label ChloBo began. From shoots in Vogue to a growing celebrity fan base, the brand has made its mark on the accessory world, and now 3: Eleven in Hale has been added to the carefully selected list of stockists of this in-demand range.Chloe, from Chester, says: ‘The ChloBo collections were originally stocked in boutiques in the Cheshire area, but due to demand we have branched out and are now stocked all over the UK. Boutiques like 3: Eleven are the essence of the label, and it’s such an amazing feeling to be stocked in boutiques back where it all began.’ For further information on ChloBo jewellery visit www.chlo-bo.co.uk
