A dazzling display of fashion raised over £5,000 for children’s charities. Withington Girls’ School staged their annual fashion show Spectrum, at the their Arts Centre in Fallowfield. Sixty young models showcased an array of rainbow-inspired designs in aid of Barnado’s and Task Brazil.

Boys from Manchester Grammar School and a group of teachers also performed impressive stunts.

Withington’s Head of Design and Technology, Fabiola Cotton, oversaw the organisation of the event and hailed it as a great success: ‘It never ceases to amaze me that an event that has been held over a number of consecutive years can still be totally original with new concepts and new ideas. Year on year the girls are never daunted, they are always so enthusiastic and always exceed expectations.’
