Dr Leah Cosmetic Skin Clinic can help you combat hair loss and regain your confidence
Hair loss is a very common problem and can affect the confidence of many; however, you will be glad to hear Dr Leah Clinic now offers a solution!
Dr Leah Cosmetic Skin Clinic in Loughton is working with UK’s most renowned hair transplant surgeon to help patients regain their hair, and look and feel their best.
Dr Leah’s hair transplant surgeon, Dr Rogers of choice has seen dramatic improvements to hair transplant surgery in his 20 years in the industry. He explains: ‘It has evolved, going from something more obvious to a really natural look. Plug grafts proved the surgery worked, but weren’t great cosmetically because it involved removing and implanting large clumps of hair.
‘Now we take individual hairs and implant them one at a time, mimicking nature. The affects are so natural that, in many cases, people wouldn’t even know you’d had surgery.’
Dr Leah’s surgeon of choice was one of the first to learn strip micro graft hair transplantation, removing a thin strip of scalp at the side of the head, stitching the area, then making pin pricks and pushing the hair bulbs into the affected area

He was also the first to introduce follicular unit extraction to the UK in 2003, which involves ‘plucking’ individual hairs out with a tube and, again, implanting individually. Both treatments are available via the Dr Leah Cosmetic Skin Clinic.
Patients will see regrowth after just 12 weeks and the full results will be visible between 12 and 24 months –‘It’s less painful than a trip to the dentist.’
Approximately 10% to 15% of men will lose hair in their early 20s, 30% by their 30s, and by the age of 50 at least 50% of men will have some degree of hair loss.
Dr Leah Clinic sees men ranging from 25 to into their 70s. Women also make up around 15 % of the Loughton clinic’s hair transplant patients. Dr Rogers says, ‘Often they’re suffering thinning hair as a result of the menopause and it can be devastating for them.
‘Anyone suffering hair loss can find it very debilitating. It can cause embarrassment and a loss of confidence and affect a person’s interaction with others.’
‘People tend to see this surgery as purely cosmetic, but it really can be life-changing. It’s rewarding to watch young men stop hiding under a baseball cap and start going out and living again. In some cases we’ve had patients able to come off anti-depressants.’
Dr Leah Clinic advise there are various medications that can be taken to slow down further hair loss, but the best course of action is to seek advice as early as possible.
‘As soon as you start to see thinning, come and see us to talk about your options. Remember you’re not alone.
We can help you do something about it, take back control and feel more confident.’
