This month, hairdresser to the stars Guy Kremer reveals some of his favourite celebrity clients.

Trend Alert

The huge popularity of bright nail polishes and make-up sees lively colour expression fast becoming the must-have fashion accessory. And when it comes to your hair, think new hairchalk by L’Oréal Professionnel. It’s an, affordable, quick and temporary hair colourant that lasts for up to two shampoos, so you can change your shade as often as you like.

The colour result depends on the depth of tone of the hairchalk shade you choose which, for best results, is applied to clean hair.

Wearing protective gloves and using a towel to avoid staining hands and clothes, you just shake the bottle gently before each use, then pour the chosen shade into the cup and work it through the hair where you want a colour effect and brush hair into shape.

It delivers maximum colour intensity for up to two shampoos yet leaves hair feeling natural with no risk of colour transfer once dried. In eight vibrant shades, hairchalk gives instant gratification to the want-it-now fashionista. Weekend hair has never been so spontaneous!

Star Studded

Last month I had a great time meeting up backstage with actress and screen writer Emma Thompson after the Maria Grachvogel fashion runway show. I met Emma some years ago at the premier of the Nanny McPhee film. Luckily she remembered me and this time we had more time together - we got on like a house on fire, chatting for ages. Emma is a really lovely, down-to-earth person, very charming and interesting. It is so refreshing to meet someone of her calibre, a star without any airs and graces, who makes time for people and is full of kindness and good manners.

MTV presenter Laura Whitmore was there too, someone I had lots of fun with when styling her hair for the cover of Fabulous Magazine as she was keen to try something different. She has the most gorgeous hair, very full and glossy and I gave her a taste of the latest trend – a splash of colour using L’Oréal’s new hairchalk. I used some of the pink and blue shades around her face to complement her make-up and she loved it!

Another Fabulous Magazine front cover shoot I did last month featured the gorgeous Kelly Brook, who arrived fresh from LA with a big entourage of people in tow. She has amazingly lustrous hair and a body to die for and she totally knows how to work in front of the camera to quickly achieve great photographic results. She also knows her own mind, how her hair works best, so dressing it was very straightforward as she knew exactly what she’d like. Kelly was a pleasure to work with, a true professional who made my job an easy pleasure.
