The Beauty Desk: How to create the perfect Valentine's Day look

Get ready with Rebekka for a glam Valentines Day, this look features a light smokey eye and a classic bold red lip.

Step 1: Buff Benefit Boi-ing Concealer into the eyebrow area

Step 2: Using an angled eyebrow brush, sketch Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake in Gaze into the brow and then brush over with Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper and Hair Touch Up in Brunette.

Step 3: Prime the eye area with MAC Prep and Prime 24-Hour Extend Eye Base. The Zoeva Cocoa Blend eyeshadow palette is used for the majority of this look. Start with shade Bitter Sweet and blend all over the eye and up to the brow.

Step 4: Using a small crease brush, sweep Substitute for Love into the socket/crease blending backwards and forwards, upward and out until there is no line. Layer Freshly Toasted over this shade, working the two colours together into a smoke. Just keep layering and blending these colours together until you’re happy with the look.

Step 5: Add Subtle Blend into the ‘V’ of the eye and under the lower lashes. Use a fluffy brush to blend all the shades.

Step 6: Using a larger soft brush, sweep the Illamasqua Loose Pigment in Furore over the main part of the lid and then touch up the smoke of the crease with the brushes used for the previous colours.

Step 7: Add a cat eye using Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eye Liner in Black and then curl lashes and apply two coats of Maybelline Mascara Volum’ Express in Turbo Black.

Step 8: (Optional) Using Duo False Eyelash glue, apply a thin line of glue to Eldora False Eyelashes in M104, and leave for 60 seconds to go tacky before applying to the lash line with tweezers.

Step 9: Apply Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer to the skin before using a damp Beauty Blender to buff Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in 3.5 into the skin. Apply Benefit Boi-ing Concealer if needed under the eye and any blemishes. Set the concealer with Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Translucent.

Step 10: For subtle contouring, use Smashbox Contour Sticks in the hollows of the cheeks and blend with a face defining brush.

Step 11: Using the Bobbi Brown Deluxe Eye and Cheek Palette, apply the shade Desert Rose to the cheek and layer Pale Pink onto the apples. Blend with a fluffly powder brush. Add NARS Illuminator in Copacabana to the cheekbones and set the look with Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray.

Step 12: Prep the lips by buffing concealer over the area. Line the lips using Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner before filling in the area. Apply MAC lipstick in Steam Heat to the lips and blend seamlessly out using a lip brush.
