Most people in the local catchment area will be touched by the care of St Wilfrid’s at some point in their lives, whether through personal experience of hospice services or through the care of a family member, friend or colleague.

St Wilfrid’s is a charity, relying on the support of the community for 70% of the funds needed to care for its patients. The generous support of local people who leave gifts in their wills helps to ensure that the hospice will be here for future generations.

Each year during June, the hospice runs Free Wills Month, when, with the generous support of local solicitors, anyone aged 55 or over is able to draw up a new will, or amend an existing one for free. This is in lieu of a donation to the hospice. If this something you would like to do then go to click here to find out details of who is taking part. Appointments are limited, so do book as soon as you can.

Could a gift in your will help to extend the hospice services to even more people, providing extra more nurses and staff in the community and setting up support clinics closer to where people live? If you would like to discuss how you can share in St Wilfrid’s plans for the future, please contact John Summers on 01323 434214.
