4-7 June, Above Bar, Southampton - Watch enthusiasts and those looking to snap up a luxury pre-owned timepiece are in for a treat as Parkhouse Hampshire, home to one of the largest watch collections outside of London, brings an exclusive Pre-Owned Roadshow to its store on Above Bar Street later this week.
For four days only from Thursday 4 to Sunday 7 June, Parkhouse Hampshire is opening up one of the country’s largest and finest collections of pre-owned luxury watches for sale, with exclusive deals available on the Thursday. Chairman Michael Laing OBE has brought together the best of the company’s pre-owned stock from its sister stores in Edinburgh and Cardiff giving customers the opportunity to capture some of the rarest and most sought-after pre-owned timepieces from the world’s leading watch brands including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Cartier, Jaeger Le-Coultre, Panerai, Omega, Breitling, TAG Heuer, Chopard, IWC, and Longines amongst others.
Michael Laing commented: “Our Pre-Owned Roadshow is a unique collection of some superb timepieces. An excellent buy, we guarantee that all of our pre-owned stock has been fully inspected, serviced and approved by our in-house accredited watchmaker and as such comes with a minimum one year’s guarantee.
“Luxury watches are built to last and if taken care of even a 15 year old timepiece will look and run like new but at a keener price so we find that many of our customers opt for a second or indeed third watch. Pre-owned is also attractive for many younger customers looking to buy their first luxury timepiece.”
The stock will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Key highlights from the collection include the classic gents Rolex Day Date II (pictured above). A collector’s gem, this sophisticated dress watch features an 18ct white gold case, 80 baguette cut diamonds and a black diamond dot dial with day and date functions. Brand new it would set you back £58,950, but the pre-owned timepiece is available for £39,000 and comes in its original box with papers and a one-year guarantee from Rolex.
Another standout piece is the ladies Omega Constellation, an elegant, discreet dress watch with a steel and yellow gold bracelet, and beautiful mother of pearl diamond dot dial. This particular piece is from 2013 and features a double folding clasp. In good condition, it’s priced at £2650 and comes complete with box, papers and a one-year guarantee.
Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling is renowned for having all its watches chronometer certified. The Breitling Aerospace gents timepiece is from 2002 and features an eye-catching blue dial with digital chronograph, second timezone and alarm functions. It has a 42mm titanium case, and titanium bracelet with folding clasp. This particular piece from the Roadshow is in great condition, and comes with travel box and papers. The equivalent retail price is £3,150, and will be available at £2,000 on the Roadshow.
