The beauty editor Adelle Mitchell, Surrey Hills

I found out about my hairdresser, JP Clarke at The Secret (tel: 07725 592239), through word of mouth – he doesn’t advertise and is so popular with the ladies of the Surrey Hills that he has a waiting list. JP does private appointments in his beautiful salon room near Shere and is brilliant at cutting and colouring hair so that it looks stylish, sophisticated and sexy!

Meanwhile, if I want an impeccable manicure or long lasting gel treatment, Chantal Johnson at Chantal in Cranleigh (tel: 01483 272822) is top of my list! One of the country’s leading nail technicians, she trained staff at The Only Way is Essex star Amy Childs’ new salon.

When it comes to clothes shopping, I dream of being wealthy enough to buy my entire wardrobe at Donna Ida in Guildford (tel: 01483 569330). It’s brilliant for great designer denim and printed silk tops that give you that relaxed but very contemporary ‘not trying too hard but still looking amazing’ look.

Finally, there’s also a great ‘vintage’ clothing department upstairs at JK in Cranleigh (tel: 01483 272308). The selection is not as big as that at other nearly new stores but everything is in excellent condition and when I visited recently there were some great finds including designs by Diane Von Furstenberg, Paul Smith, Celia Birtwell and Issa.”

The TV fitness trainer Charlotte Ord, Godalming

When it comes to my shopping, my favourite boutique is Catwalk in Godalming (tel: 01483 527634). It’s full of original, quirky pieces and the staff are really helpful.

I’m also a big fan of unwinding with a massage and regularly visit sports masseur Philippa Lock from Guildford Sports Massage (tel: 07775 868221), who really helps me relax and unwind.

For me, the real key to staying in shape and feeling good in whatever I wear is regular workouts at my gym, Phoenix Pro Fitness in Godalming (tel: 01483 801150); it’s unlike any other club in the area and has a really friendly, fun atmosphere.

Can I also mention my stepmum, Yvonne Ord, who does my hair? She’s a freelance hairdresser from Farnham (tel: 07710 392841) and does an amazing job with my unruly locks!

Charlotte Ord is a trainer on ITV’s The Biggest Loser and was named Personal Trainer of the Year in the 2010 Fitness Showcase Awards. When she’s not putting clients through their paces at her own fitness club, Phoenix Pro Fitness in Godalming (, she is a regular contributor to many leading health and fitness publications.

The personal stylist Jo Khan, Camberley

As a personal style expert, I firmly believe that style is not just about the clothes you wear but paying attention to the finer details too.

For a start, I have two fantastic hairdressers, Cody and Scott at Capella in Camberley (tel: 01276 61414), who are perfectionists and always give me a great cut.

I also have my nails done every month by a lovely young lady called Becca who runs a home salon, Be Beautiful in Camberley (tel: 07515 760585). She’s a true professional and has transformed my nails.

When I need a shopping fix, I head over to Richmond for a leisurely stroll where I can shop at all my favourite high street establishments as well as the many independent boutiques. I like my home to be stylish too and always pop into Dwell (tel: 0845 675 9092) before indulging in a spot of lunch at Carluccio’s (tel: 0208 940 5037)!

Apart from catering for my every need, the thing I like most about Richmond is the relaxed atmosphere and the unmistakable buzz in the summer, when I can take a walk along the riverside.

The celebrity hairdresser Andy Smith, Guildford

One of my favourite shops in Guildford is Gerard Darel on the High Street (tel: 01483 577599). They provide us with a lot of the outfits for our photo-shoots, fashion work and international seminars. The owner, Nohra Currie, is a great clothes stylist and will be happy to help any customer looking to stay on trend.

Charity shops are always great places to check out, as you are likely to find something vintage. We have recently had a new Oxfam (tel: 01483 579323) open across the road from our salon, John Carne in Guildford (tel: 01483 572420), and I’m always keeping my eye out for good buys.

Finally, I love AD (tel: 01483 300657) for guys’ jeans. It’s a shop tucked away in the bottom of the Friary Centre in Guildford and it has a great selection, from PRPS to True Religion to your classic Levis with a variety of cuts and styles.”

Andy Smith is the artistic director for the John Carne group of salons in Guildford, Wimbledon Village and Knightsbridge. Tel: 01483 572420 / He is also the brand guardian for Schwarzkopf Professional’s styling range OSiS.

The fashion blogger Chantelle Znideric, Hindhead

As a fashion blogger and personal stylist, I like shopping anywhere and love to combine luxury designer pieces, high street basics and the odd vintage treasure.

One of my favourites is the Liberty Foundation in Farnham (tel: 01252 722772), which offers fantastic second-hand and nearly new garments and accessories as well as fashionable vintage clothing for the discerning fashionista. Plus, proceeds go towards a worthy cause, providing care and education for abused or abandoned children in Belize, Central America.

Finding an incredibly talented hair stylist can be tricky if you don’t know where to go. However, one of my secret weapons is Edward Scissor Hands himself – creative director Ross Dilanda at Scully Scully in Godalming (tel: 01483 416600). With his meticulous eye and cutting edge approach, he never fails to disappoint!
