Beautiful groundsAs well as the serenity of the spa, clients of The Studio are invited to explore the grounds at Thorpe Hall, which itself offers a real tonic for a busy life.The fabulous gardens have recently been restored for the enjoyment of guests who will often take the opportunity before or after a treatment for a stroll around the rose garden or to sit quietly by the lake absorbing the peace and tranquility of the gardens.One of the most recent developments in the grounds has been the regeneration of the bluebell woods. Martin felt the hall needed a suitable environment for clients to walk or jog during their time at the spa and thought the woods would be the perfect place.Occasionally, a heron can be spotted fishing for carp and woodpeckers use the woods to nest. Badgers have returned and there have even been occasional sightings of the very rare dormouse. For a spa client, sitting in the woods late one afternoon watching a barn owl work the edge of the woodland, while the sweet aroma of bluebells fills the air, I can think of very little that would be more relaxing.
