Kent has a choice of fine spas offering treatments that will help put that spring back in your step

When it comes to pampering, a top-to-toe treatment is the ultimate luxury often reserved for brides-to-be and special birthdays. But why wait – surely we all need something special to cheer us up from time to time!

Many spas offer pampering packages which include a facial, body treatment plus nail file and polish.

At Kalmora Spa in Goudhurst you can get a top-to-toe package which includes a mini hydro-floatation, express facial, back, neck and shoulder massage plus a manicure and pedicure. It lasts a total of three and a half hours and costs £125.

Men won’t miss out either, with their own version of the package for £130.

Champneys spa in Tunbridge Wells offers a VIP package which includes a personalised facial, manicure, pedicure and Spa Heaven Cocoon. Four hours of sheer bliss for £150.

If a package doesn’t quite meet your requirements, a mix-and-match approach to treatments could be your answer.

Kalmora Spa has a floatation experience which will blow your mind as well as leave your body feeling relaxed and your batteries recharged. Described as ‘the ultimate relaxation experience’ you’ll find yourself drifting off and cleansing mind as well as body.

At Wallet’s Court, you can also pamper mind, body and spirit with therapist Mary Bonas, who offers a variety of treatments which can be booked as a package.

If you can’t stretch to the full mind and body top-to-toe experience, mix and match some of the popular quick-fix treatments which are proving ever popular this year.

Eyelash extensions can change the appearance of the face and mean that you can go without mascara and stick-on extensions for your holiday or special occasion. Champneys offers a full set for £75 or express lashes for £40.

HD brows is a seven-step brow-shaping treatment which can give you a whole new look, whether your eyebrows are too sparse or too bushy.

Available at Just Beauty in Sittingbourne for £25 and other venues around the county. See more eyebrow tips on page 82.

Shellac nails are also increasingly popular and many manicurists offer a manicure with this revolutionary and hard-wearing, quick-drying varnish which has a life span of around two weeks. Prices vary from around £25 to £40. n
