Devon photographer Alexandra Gunnoe teamed up with the West of England Transportation Collection for a stunning and authentic vintage fashion photoshoot

A local photographer has created a stunning fashion calendar featuring the vintage cars and buses of The West of England Transportation Collection (WETC).

Alexandra Gunnoe, who lives in Winkleigh, came up with the idea when researching an old control tower from World War Two for a photography shoot. She stumbled across the WETC and knew that the gorgeous cars from the 1930s, 40s, 50s and 60s would be perfect for a vintage-inspired fashion shoot.

Together with the WETC owner Dan Shears and local stylist Kate Sly from Fashion Farmer, Alexandra has produced a stunning calendar, using the WETC’s vintage vehicles in the shoots. The clothing, which was all sourced from Vintage Tramp and Hay Does Vintage, was chosen to reflect the era of each vehicle and models and hair and make-up artists were predominantly Devon-based.

The calendar will be available to buy from alexandragunnoe.com in September. It will also be showcased at WETC’s open day in October.
