Hands up if you have something in your wardrobe that you fell in love with on the hanger, but have only worn once . . . or more likely never!

Hands up if you are in awe of women who seem to instinctively know what suits them, who look fabulous even when they’re dressed down – wouldn’t it be brilliant to know how to dress and look that way?

A few years ago Sue Dougal would have counted herself among those with their hands firmly in the air at these two questions. But thanks to Norwich stylist Chrissi Rix, she now shops confidently and creatively because she knows exactly what to buy and what to avoid – and the result is she looks fantastic!

Sue explains: “When we became friends we wondered how we could make more women feel like that - comfortable in their own skin and more confident about themselves.” And so, The Style Show was born.

Launching this month, as part of Norwich Fashion Week, The Style Show is Chrissi and Sue’s new fashion advice and shopping concept, which they hope will entertain, inform and style women across the county.

“It’s not a fashion show – it’s going to be informative but in a fun, relaxed way,” says Chrissi. “The audience can find out why some things look good on them and some don’t work for them, how to build an outfit and accessorise, how to save money by buying the right clothes, knowing their colours aand shapes. It will be really interactive.

Sue adds: “It’s about women getting together and having a bit of fun with friends. If they leave feeling fabulous and having learned something, it will be a real achievement. But we don’t want to leave it there, we can also provide more one-to-one styling services, and we’ll be giving out styling tips and advice through our website and social media.”

They also hope to hold specific shows for different communities and groups, including new mums, slimmers, women with medical conditions that impact on their bodies, and women at different life stages.

“What we’d love to see is for Norfolk to have lots more stunning, happy and empowered women.”
