Sporting Threads boasts a stunning collection of coats, jackets, breeks, gilets, waterproofs, sweaters, ties, gloves, hats, and socks. Owners Amanda and Dan Watt decided to shy away from ubiquitous brands found locally and instead opted for a range from entry-level brands such as Percussion and Shooterking, through Baleno, John Field and Beretta to luxury lines such as Laksen and Chrysalis - each item having been carefully selected on quality, style, function and value. There really is something to suit all tastes and budgets.
Being situated adjacent to the premier gun shop, UK Gun Repairs, some of Sporting Threads' ranges are tailored for shooting but they understand that clothing often needs to be versatile, so a large proportion of their shooting gear would be equally suitable for more smart/casual country wear or simply walking the dog. Therefore, outerwear is dominant with a superb range of shooting/field/country coats and jackets for both men and women, with gilets and waistcoats in fleece, wool, waxed cotton or tweed.
The line of womenswear includes fine Liberty print or linen shirts and checked cosy cotton shirts from popular hunting and shooting clothing brand Laksen.
