Boys Hall owner Brad Lomas and his wonderfully stocked cellar (of over 4,000 fine wines!) will be hosting a series of fabulous wine events this year.

This month's alfresco supper club with Ana Ortiz (June 20 £160pp) is certainly an exciting date for the diary.

In collaboration with Firemade UK and Wine Garden of England, husband-and-wife duo, Tom Bray and Ana Ortiz, who are behind the asado-style grill in the restaurant kitchen, will be whipping up an al fresco long table dinner to pair with some of Kent’s finest wine.

And if there was ever the surrounds to make this kind of night super special, it's Boys Hall.

Boys Hall was built in 1616 and extended in 1632 by the Boys family, who had previously been known as De Bois, having landed in England from France at the time of the Norman conquest. It was formerly known as Boys Hall Jacobean Manor, surrounded by three acres of gardens.

The 17th-century Jacobean Manor, on the southern edge of the North Downs, has been loving restored by husband and wife team Brad and Kristie.

The couple left their hospitality careers in London to create the getaway of their dreams, and spent three years painstakingly restoring the hall to its former glory.

Brad was the former operations director of East London Pub Co, and Kristie is the founder of Drink, Shop & Do as well as Keystone Crescent members club in London’s King’s Cross. The couple departed the capital in 2019 and fell head over heels for the hall, a mere 35 minute train ride from London.

Now the property has nine ensuite bedrooms, two cosy reception rooms, private dining rooms, plus a 70 cover restaurant and their very own wood-clad pub for a pint of local ale and bar snacks.

And did we mention that well stocked wine cellar?!
