Ben and Hannah Dunnett made the move to Cornwall from Worcester in 2014 in search of a better life after two years of careful planning...

Like many people who end up making the move to Cornwall, Ben and Hannah Dunnett were familiar with the country’s favourite county from childhood holidays. But it wasn’t until 2012 that they began to prepare for making the move - prompted by Hannah’s parents retiring to Cornwall.

Family is really important to us and so we were keen to be close to them,’ says Ben. We had recently started to run a business together which was not dependent on location and so it seemed like a natural time to consider a move.

We had both come down to Cornwall on holidays as children and had many happy memories of the place,’ says Ben. We also spent two years visiting and researching the area before making the move.

We obviously wanted to be fairly close to Hannah’s parents. We also wanted to be within easy reach of Falmouth and Truro. We were also keen to locate in easy of reach of good schools. We found our home through searching online and through the help of local estate agents.’

In the end Clive Pearson Property ( helped them find their current home. And working for themselves made a move to Cornwall an ideal choice.

Our business depends upon a courier/postal network and the internet. Cornwall has good services in place and so the logistics have been fairly straightforward.
