Celebrities and other famous figures who went to school in Sussex
Eastbourne College has a whole range of former students that went on to find fame. Weather forecaster Michael Fish, comedian Eddie Izzard, architect Sir Hugh Casson and actor Hugh Skinner all attended the East Sussex school.
Actor Benedict Cumberbatch attended Brambletye School in East Grinstead.
English actress and author Joanna Lumley was educated at St Mary’s Convent School.

Piers Morgan (journalist) - The journalist/TV personality was born in Newick and attended Chailey Secondary School followed by sixth form at Priory School.
Gareth Barry (footballer) - The England and Everton footballer attended William Parker School in Hastings. Former Brighton and Hove Albion captain Dean Hammond also attended William Parker.
Gareth Southgate (footballer) - The former England international spent some time at Hazelwick School in Crawley. Football Focus presenter Dan Walker also went to the school.
