Jamie Roberts is the fourth generation of his family to live and farm on Kilnsey Park Estate in the Yorkshire Dales. He runs the estate with wife Amy and they have two boys, Angus, 14, and Louis, 12

Jamie: I love our country shows for the best of rural life. Our local show hosts the most dangerous fell race I've ever taken part in!
Amy: People saying 'buns' in a Yorkshire accent! Will never forget our youngest son saying he wanted to buy 'a boun' for his kindergarten teacher.
A place you love to eat
J: Bettys at Harlow Carr for a lovely cream tea after a walk in the gardens
A: Elsworth Kitchen in Skipton, we've known Bruce ever since he was at The Angel at Hetton. His open plan kitchen means we can chat as he prepares his amazing dishes.
To take friends
J: Scrambling up and down the incredible shapes of Brimham Rocks, which feel like they're on the surface of Mars, even though they're five minutes from Pateley Bridge!
A: The Café by the Lake on our doorstep to take friends for lunch or a cuppa and cake.
A childhood memory
J: Splashing about in the River Wharfe, skimming stones and fishing for minnows - keeping the rivers clean is still a real passion and I'm closely involved in the work of the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust.
A: Boating with my childhood best friend and getting swept out to sea off an island in North West Scotland when we lost our oars, to be saved by a passing fisherman.
A cultural go-to
J: Salts Mill has it all. a fantastic art gallery, great café and probably my favourite bookshop in the whole world. We have a strong family connection with the mill, having owned it after Sir Titus - the park in Saltaire is named after my great grandfather.
A: Being an 'ofcumden' I often ask a local friend to recommend a new gallery. I recently discovered the Mercer Art Gallery in Harrogate which was a real find.
Inspiration outdoors
J: The wild dales moorlands in high summer, lying in the sweet heather listening to the birdsong and the lazy drone of bees.
A: I'm a member of RHS Harlow Carr and go as often as possible
A place for indulgence
J: Despite being a contented country mouse, we love escaping to the city of York.
A: I've recently discovered Avalon at Broughton Estate; it's truly indulgent. I run my own yoga and wellbeing retreats so it's a treat to be able to enjoy someone else's yoga classes.
A Yorkshire view that inspires
J: The view up our valley when you first catch sight of Kilnsey Crag - old books call it 'the King's View' and when I see it I know that we're nearly home.
A: The drive over the tops from Airton to Settle has the most wonderful views and reminds me of the Highlands - all that heather and highland cows!
I'm never happier than when
J: We enjoy a family walk through Grass Woods at bluebell-time, with a good lunch in Grassington's cobbled square.
A: A relaxing garden barbecue with family and friends, preferably in the company of a good bottle of red, whilst the kids fish for trout in the lakes next door.
