Real Housewife of Cheshire Hanna talks about her Christmas wish list and hopes for the big day itself
Christmas is coming of course but plans are a bit up-in-the-air this year, aren’t they?! Our original plans were to go to a lovely hotel with my family, Martin’s family and a few friends to have dinner and make it a really special occasion, but of course due to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, that’s not going to go ahead.
I didn’t want to cook at home because I’ll be heavily pregnant, so we’ve decided that we’ll have Christmas Day at our apartment and hopefully if our parents can legally come along, our families are going to cook various dishes at home and bring them to our house. Result! We’ve had The Christmas Decorators Cheshire around weaving their Christmas magic in the house and the whole place looks stunning, so it would be a shame for people not to see how gorgeous our apartment looks.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire has almost finished filming for this year and it has been a fabulous series. It’s been very positive for me as we have filmed some nice baby preparation scenes, and the show has been following my pregnancy journey. I was also very lucky have the launch of Icy Bear, my new whitening toothpaste, filmed and featured on the show - and it meant such a lot to me. It will be sad though, in a way, when filming finishes as I do always miss the girls, as it’s usually a few months before they get us together again but to be fair, the last dinner party was explosive so I think a few of them will be happy for a break from each other!
A lot of people are asking me what’s on my Christmas list this year, but again this year is very different for many reasons. We’re currently renovating both the master bedroom and our nursery at present, which is taking up a lot of time, energy and of course money, so for Christmas, we just want these rooms finished and ready for baby. I’ve not had a second thought about anything else that I really want for Christmas so when friends ask me, I just say please get me some nice baby things! I’ll be happy this Christmas if we can see our families and get the work on the apartment finished ready for the new arrival.
We’ve not been out and about as much as usual recently but we can’t wait for lockdown to end so we can go shopping and eating out again. We do have a few family gatherings potentially coming up as Brenda, my mother-in-law has a special birthday coming up and we are currently thinking of different ways that we can get together and celebrate virtually, as we won’t all be able to get together and have a bit party, which is frustrating.
I cannot believe that our baby will arrive a few weeks after Christmas and we are very excited. We’ve just been for a 4D scan to see the baby - which was amazing, very emotional and totally incredible to see our baby’s face. I’m in the third trimester now and I am suddenly getting a lot bigger plus I can feel the baby kicking a lot. It’s funny because when I am working at my dental practice, sometimes the kicking just stops me in my tracks, it’s very strong. Martin has also felt the baby kick for the first time and was chuffed to bits.
I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
