The Royal Cheshire County Show is the county’s biggest agricultural event and is back again this summer, on June 20th and 21st. The show is an action packed couple of days that celebrates the work of the county’s farming community in grand style. There’s something for the whole family. The exciting schedule includes enthralling main ring attractions, competition classes for cattle sheep and pigs, vintage machinery displays, a tempting Cheshire farmers’ market plus so much more.

It has just been announced that Cheshire Life editor Louise Allen-Taylor will be this year’s Patroness. As a huge supporter of the show, she is delighted. “I was thrilled and honoured to be invited to take up this role. The Royal Cheshire County Show is such an important part of the annual calendar and it’s an event we at Cheshire Life always look forward to immensely. I’ll be delighted to attend the show on both days, but of course, it is much more than a marvellous social event. Agricultural shows are a big shop window for the rural and countryside communities and industries. This show attracts visitors from far and wide, so it helps educate urban communities about farming, food production and all the hard work that involves. I’m really looking forward to this opportunity to get to know Cheshire’s agricultural community better.”
