With the economy still struggling and many businesses looking to streamline, redundancies remain a real possibility. Employers need to be careful how they identify the pool of employees from which redundancies will be made and what constitutes reasonable/fair selection criteria.

So, Andrew Moore – who is an employment law specialist at Clough & Willis - will take delegates through the redundancy process paying particular attention to what employers/HR professionals should consider when identifying the pool. He will also look at what the Employment Tribunal expects from the selection criteria used by employers.

Andrew said: “We speak to clients everyday who are having to make hard decisions about the future of their employees. Redundancy is often the last resort but it’s essential businesses know the facts about what they can and can’t do. The aim of this event is to inform and educate so delegates have a practical understanding of the law.”
