Being home to the only specialist inpatient unit hospice in Gloucestershire, alongside its Hospice at Home, Day Hospice and Family Support Service, is what makes Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court the only charity of its kind in Gloucestershire. Last year the hospice supported 700 people and their families through the most difficult time of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they are there when it matters. A donation can help the charity’s doctors, nurses, care team and support staff give the compassionate and expert care people need to live the best life they possibly can.
There are many ways you can support the charity this Christmas, by joining them for their sparkling Winter Ball at Pittville Pump Rooms on Friday December 14, donating £19 to pay for an hour of care, or signing up to become a regular giver so the charity can be there when it matters all year-round.

The Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund is a small local charity supporting blood cancer patients and their families in every way possible, here in Gloucestershire. The treatment of leukaemia is long and gruelling so patients require a huge amount of support whilst spending weeks or even months in the isolation side rooms. LINC try to be their lifeline by offering emotional support, their relief by providing financial grants, their comfort by providing the little extras and their breakthrough by funding research into potential new treatments.
However, they can only be these things for patients and their families, if local people like you choose to be the LINC too. From the words of comfort offered by clinical psychologists, to the wheelchair friendly showers that enable even the weakest patients to feel human. It is people like you who make it all possible. Please support the charity and be the ‘linc’ for blood cancer patients and their families. Anybody can face a diagnosis of leukaemia at any time of their lives and they aim to be there when help is needed the most.

Hope for Tomorrow and their Mobile Cancer Care Units (MCCUs) allow patients to save time by having their cancer care closer to home, saving them time and energy to be with the people that mean the most.
Hope for Tomorrow’s Gloucestershire MCCU ‘Helen’ was launched in 2007 and has been delivering treatments in locations such as Stroud, Cirencester, Tewkesbury and Cinderford ever since. Each MCCU costs the charity £198 per day to keep on the road.

Gloucestershire NightStop offers local support for young homeless people aged 16-25 and they need your support. Offering just one night a week can make a real difference to the mental wellbeing of a young person.
They’re looking for host families, volunteer drivers, fundraisers and youth mentors to work with their exceptional young people to ensure that no young person has to spend a night sleeping rough on the streets.
