Cotswold Heroes

Help Cotswolds Life on our quest to find the people who make the Cotswolds great

Calling all the heroes...

Cotswold Life is looking for some very special people for our new feature.

Working closely with Silver Apples Photography of Cheltenham, we are scouring the Cotswolds for anyone with that special 'something' we believe needs to be shouted from the rooftops.

They may be a craftsman, keeping alive a tradition that would otherwise die out; a role model, inspiring our younger generations; a rising star who is destined for great things, or someone who has shown great courage in the face of adversity. Perhaps you'd like to nominate someone who is already well known to the public, but should be applauded for their continuing work in raising the profile of the Cotswolds, and for charities that would struggle to survive without their support.

We really are open to any suggestions, whether they are an octogenarian who's giving up their spare time to keep our footpaths open, or a teenager with their eye on the 2012 Olympics.

Once nominated, and selected, Jenny Aston from Silver Apples will take their photograph which will appear in a future issue of Cotswold Life, together with details of why they have been included. Then, in the summer of 2010, all the photographs will be exhibited locally so that even more people can see what makes the Cotswolds so great.
