Great British Life: Oscar the Patterdale TerrierOscar the Patterdale Terrier (Image: Archant)

- Oscar the Patterdale Terrier

12 years 10 months old

Time at the centre: 25 weeks

This handsome older gent is seeking a retirement home. Little Oscar is a sweet natured dog who is very affectionate. Oscar would prefer to live as an only dog and enjoy short walks.

Oscar's ideal day would be a little morning walk and breakfast followed by pottering in the garden before another stroll and dinner. A perfect end to the day would be snuggles on the sofa.

Oscar can be a grumpy old man at times, so we are looking for a home that will recognise that sometimes he will need his own space.

He is in good health for his age and is on light pain relief for mild arthritis. He is a real sweetie and deserves a loving home to retire... could this be yours?

- Skylar the Rottweiler

3 years 4 months old

Time at the centre: 20 weeks

Introducing beautiful Skylar: she is a 3 year old female Rottweiler with lots of personality. She came into the home as a whelping mother to her five puppies.

Skylar is now looking for a quiet home where she can curl up on the sofa with her human companions as this is her favourite hobby. She needs a loving family who will help her feel safe and secure.

Being a large dog, she is suitable to live with secondary school aged children only. She will require a home where she is the only pet, as after having five puppies she deserves all the attention on her.

Skylar will benefit from a home where her humans are around most of the time as she adores being around people.

__________

- Pippy the Domestic Short haired cat

12 years 10 months

Time at the centre: 18 weeks

Pippy is a stunning black and white girl, she is very pretty and has quite vivid markings and gorgeous orange eyes.

This beautiful girl has only been with us for a short while but is already showing us how affectionate and friendly she really is. Although Pippy can be shy at times she will always come over to greet you, normally greeting you by giving you a quick chirp and a headbump.

Pippy does enjoy having a fuss but equally enjoys sitting on her bed next to you and watching the world go by. She can be startled by loud noises so she would need a quieter home where she can feel safe and happy.

Pippy would prefer someone around for most of the day to keep her company and to give her plenty of fuss. Pippy would need to be homed somewhere with quieter roads, and ideally a medium sized garden where she can potter around it to her hearts content. Pippy would be suitable to be homed with children aged 12+.

- Prince the Staffie x Beagle cross

3 years 10 months

Time at the centre: 10 weeks

Everybody meet the handsome Prince. Prince is a Staffie x Beagle who has a super mischievous personality.

Prince finds it hard to trust new people so we would be looking for a home where his new owners could visit him a few times to build up a bond and become his best friend. Prince needs a quiet home with no children or other animals. He can be left for a short while and is house trained.

Prince does require an experienced owner as he will need to have his training continued in the home. Even though Prince has his quirks he is a very loving dog who loves to go exploring new places with his favourite human and will always keep a smile on your face.

If you think you could offer this bouncy boy his forever home then please fill out a perfect match form.

__________

- Storm the Domestic Short haired cat

Age: 2 years 7 months

Time at the centre: 10 weeks

Introducing our beautiful boy Storm. Storm is an absolutely gorgeous completely black cat. He has the cutest huge orange eyes and a lovely glossy coat.

Storm is a lovely boy, he loves to have a fuss and a cuddle often rolling around and showing off his belly. He loves to play with toys and will play with a variety of them. He especially loves playing with feather toys and soft toys.

Storm will need a quiet home with no young children, where he can have plenty of space to settle in his own time. Storm has no experience of the outside world, so would need to be homed to a home on a quiet road with a larger garden, so that he can explore and play happily and safely.

Storm would be suitable to be homed with children aged 13+.
