Country shows are more popular than ever if the level of support at Great Eccleston Show is any yardstick.
Secretary Sheila Robinson summed up the event as ‘two fantastic days.’ One of the highlights was the impressive number of entries in the shire horse section which totalled 75. Many enthusiasts said it was the most they had ever seen in the show ring.
‘We had tremendous support in all sections from the shires to the honey. The weather could have been a little kinder but it cleared for us and the two days proved to be a really happy event.’Photography by Kirsty Thompson
