Heart of England Mencap, which provides person-centred support for people with a wide range of learning difficulties across Warwickshire and Worcestershire, is one of three charities sharing proceeds from a special gala night at Alscot Park later this month.

The Gala Charity Preview Evening on July 17 is being held in advance of the first ever Stratford-upon-Avon Home and Garden Show, running in the grounds at Alscot Park from July 18 - 20.

Tickets are available for the gala night, where visitors can enjoy a relaxing stroll around the show ground without the hustle and bustle of the public show days. Drinks and canapés will be provided, along with live music and access to the gardens at Alscot Park.

Heart of England Mencap will set up stall on the night, showcasing the services offered; from supported living and residential care to respite breaks and day activities.

Customers at Heart of England Mencap’s Pathway day group have also been entering a special ‘Design a Garden on a Plate’ competition ahead of the Homes and Garden Show – and these will be on display on gala night.

Helena Wallis, Chief Executive at Heart of England Mencap, said: “We’re very grateful to Alscot Park and Blooming Marvellous Events for choosing our charity to share the proceeds from the gala night. We’ll be there to raise the profile of the valuable work we do to support vulnerable and disadvantaged people across Warwickshire and Worcestershire.”

Tickets to the Gala Charity Preview Evening cost £25.
