“We’re delighted to be included in the league table for the first time alongside what are some very well-known and well-established international businesses.”

Underlining the growth of its export business, global water treatment and magnetic filtration manufacturer, ADEY, has made its debut at 111 in the 10th annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table.

Ranking Britain’s mid-market private companies with the fastest growing international sales, ADEY joins 12 other companies in the South West as part of the list. Recording 55% annual international sales growth in two years, the company now trades in more than 30 countries including China, USA, Australia, New Zealand and across Europe.

“Having created a marketplace in the UK more than 15 years ago and building a strong brand that is built on innovation and quality, ADEY is now very much a global business,” says John Vaughan, ADEY’s Chief Executive Officer. “We’re delighted to be included in the league table for the first time alongside what are some very well-known and well-established international businesses.

“It’s testament to the hard work that has gone in to establishing ADEY as a market leader here in the UK that we’ve been able to take this success and replicate it in other countries. Our exports started with Europe where we now have an extremely strong presence and this was followed by the USA. More recently we’ve looked to support our export growth even further with moves into China and Australasia where we think there is real opportunity.”

Amanda Murphy, Head of Commercial Banking at HSBC UK, commented: “We at HSBC UK are delighted to back The Sunday Times International Track 200 again this year. All the businesses it showcases have truly inspiring stories to tell about creativity, resilience and ambition to succeed. The 13 companies in the southwest are putting the region firmly on the map. They are the kinds of enterprises we are thrilled to support and that provide the backbone of our economy, today and tomorrow.”

The league table programme is sponsored by HSBC, DHL Express and Oracle NetSuite and compiled by Fast Track, an Oxford-based research and networking events firm.
