During January 2019, the South West housebuilder had the highest level of reservations we have seen since the business began

Newland Homes has bucked national trends and is celebrating achieving the highest number of reservations in any January since the business formed in 1991.

The housebuilder currently has ten developments across the South West, with up to five more set to open this year, including projects in Trowbridge, Barnstaple, Whitminster and Cheltenham.

Specialising in smaller sites with an eye on creating well-designed homes that enhance their local communities, Newland Homes’ homes are renowned for their high-quality finish and attention to design detail. Their live developments range in size from 20 homes in Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire, to 49 homes in Willersey Gloucestershire.

Gail Remnant, Associate Sales Director of Newland Homes, said: “During January 2019, we had the highest level of reservations we have seen since the business began. We’re confident that this figure would have been even higher if we didn’t have the bad weather at the end of the month, which saw a quiet weekend across all of our sites.

“The post-Christmas lull, coupled with continued uncertainty around Brexit, has reportedly put buyers off moving forward with purchases of new homes as well as the second-hand market, however this is not the case for our new homes in the West.

“Our sites have seen a steady stream of visitors over the past few months, and visitors give us very positive feedback. They tell us they like the way our sites are laid out to promote a feeling of privacy and not being over-looked, as well as the quality of our fittings which come as standard and careful design of the homes that makes them work as functional living spaces. Each home design is chosen specifically for the development and often will include area-specific details, such as local stone features.”

2019 is also predicted to be a busy year for Newland Homes too, with new developments imminently opening as well as recent planning approvals which should see work start on site in the coming months. Gail added: “The next few months will see the opening of our 21-home Barbican Walk development in Barnstaple, as well as our site on Bradley Road, Trowbridge, which will see 79 homes built on the former West Wiltshire District Council offices.

“We have a number of planning applications being progressed too, including a further site in Blunsdon, one in North Somerset and four more across Gloucestershire.”

On February 16 and 17, prospective homeowners are invited to visit Newland Homes’ Twyning Green development at their open weekend in Twyning, near Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. Perfect for families, the collection of 22 homes include four and five bedroom properties currently on sale.
