“Our 20th year anniversary provides an excellent opportunity to drive a year-long campaign that will benefit both the local community, and communities that are close to us, as a Group.”

Gloucestershire based specialist recruitment business Omega Resource Group is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2018. To mark the year 20 charities have been selected as part of a year-long campaign of fundraising activities, events and celebrations.

The aim of the year-long campaign is to make 20 donations to 20 charitable organisations throughout 2018, raising money through various events and occasions. The donations will equate to a minimum of £1,000 per charity, a total of £20,000. Alan Beresford CEO comments, “We believe that contribution to local communities and charities is an extremely important aspect as a socially responsible Group.

The Omega success story

Omega began trading on March 28 1998, as a technical recruitment business from a single office in Stroud, Gloucestershire. The company was founded by three good friends Alan Beresford, James Strickland and Raymond Pugh who borrowed £24,000 from Lloyds Bank with a collective desire to set-up, establish and grow a quality recruitment business. With the youngest at 23 years old and the oldest at 26, the three friends had the desire, commitment and work ethic to succeed.

Remaining under the ownership of Alan, James and Ray, the Passionate About People Ltd group of companies has grown significantly to become a highly regarded national resourcing solutions group with 11 UK locations (inc. 6 on-site locations), and a very innovative service offering. The Passionate About People Ltd, headquartered in the South West now employs over 180 people with around 140 of those employees working in the region and has a forecast turnover of £120M in 2018.

At the core of the business is a beating heart of commitment, entrepreneurialism, ambition and desire to be the best, the most ethical, and the most revered, in a sector of tough competitors and many ‘me too’ businesses. To date, the business has never made an acquisition; our growth and sustainability has been entirely organic.
