Known for their wrap-around Huggerug blankets for wheelchair-bound adults, Seaton-based Assisted Living Clothing founder, Ann Lomas, saw a definite need for the same comfort and convenience for disabled children.

Ann says that she was approached many times by fans of the adult Huggerugs to design something for kids. Not one to shy away from such a need, Ann worked with the Dame Hannah Rogers School for disabled children to come up with a line of pint-sized Huggerugs and matching thermal mitts to protect little fingers.

“The Kids Huggerug makes it so fast and easy to get your child ready and out the door to school, sporting events or outings,” Ann explains. “Not only is the Huggerug for kids convenient, the design affords maximum versatility and mobility.

The adult Huggerug, after which the child Huggerug was fashioned, has been successfully produced and distributed for years in the UK and, more recently, the United States. Both versions of Huggerugs, child and adult, are available at www.assistedlivingclothing.co.uk.
